Maybe we should stop?" and the balance: "Is this already a good reason for a combat mission or not yet?" And if the answer is "no", there may not be a reaction for a very long time, but if the flag falls on "yes", it may turn out to be much more widespread – even if it was yesterday in the eyes of as an outsider, nothing special has happened yet. 

At the same time, the Americans themselves estimate the costs – and here the apparent lack of response on our part can for a long time create the illusion of "low cost of the conflict".

The reason for this difference lies in the fundamentally different approach to conflicts, but if you start describing this difference, there is a risk that you will go far beyond the limits of a shopping cart post and a magazine article.

Hence the conclusions.

If the enemy expects his actions to be evaluated as "This is unacceptably expensive, let's stop", then at some point we can evaluate these actions as "This is an unacceptable threat, let's attack".

The US, UK and Germany have all green lit the usage of their respective weapons to hit Russian assets and targets within Russian-proper territories. (We have previously reported this, however there have been updates).

As of concurrent, the US and Germany have been the only 2 to place restrictions on this, with Germany placing the restrictions regarding civilian infrastructure & the US only allowing the usage of US-made weapons within the Kharkiv area and Russian territory within a 75km range(roughly estimation, it was not formally made public of the distance) of Kharkiv.
