Devastating attack cripples Crimea's Kerch Bridge as Russian army rocked
Explosions were reported in Kerch and Dzhankoi, which prompted Russian occupation authorities to temporarily block traffic on the bridge.

Summary of military operations on the Ukrainian front from the Russian telegram channel Two Majors on the morning of May 30, 2024.

At night, the enemy tried to attack the transport infrastructure of the city of Kerch in Crimea. The Minister of Transport of Crimea reported that while repelling the attack, two ferries - a car and a railway - were damaged from the debris of downed missiles - the glazing of the superstructures was damaged. There were no casualties among sailors or civilians. There were also reports of the destruction of enemy MBECs off the western coast of Crimea. In the morning, the Zaporozhye Front observed up to 30 enemy aircraft-type UAVs.

The Russian Aerospace Forces launched a comprehensive air strike against enemy rear targets. At first, several groups of “Geraniums” solved the problem of opening enemy air defense systems; in the middle of the night, the enemy reported recording missile launches from strategic Tu-95MS, as well as hypersonic “Daggers” from MiG-31. Explosions were reported at the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnitsky region, Kharkov, Poltava and Vinnytsia regions.

In the Kharkov region, fierce fighting continues in Volchansk. It is reported that the enemy has transferred units of the 101st separate security brigade of the General Staff of Ukraine to the combat area. The enemy holds multi-storey residential buildings in the center of Volchansk under artillery and aviation fire. In the Liptsovsky direction, our assault units advanced to a depth of 150 meters.

MOSCOW (Reuters): China could arrange a peace conference in which Russia and Ukraine would participate, the RIA news agency cited Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying on Thursday.


Lavrov said such a move would be a continuation of Beijing’s efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.

“We share (China’s) position that the root causes of the conflict need to be addressed in the first place and legal interests of all parties need to be protected, with subsequent agreements based on the principle of equal and indivisible security,” Lavrov said in an interview with the agency.

“Let me underscore again, this entails respecting realities on the ground, which reflect the will of people living there.”

Russia has repeatedly called for talks with a precondition that Kyiv and the West recognize its territorial gains in Ukraine. Kyiv has rejected those proposals.

Lavrov criticized the United States for aiding Ukraine, saying Washington has become “an accomplice in the crimes of the Kyiv regime.” In the Middle East, Lavrov said, the United States was also “fanning the flames of conflict.”

Was the Thirties-Years-War a World War? No: Only European Countries were involved. Yes: The Spaniards fought against the Dutch in the Philippines and on Taiwan and Taiwan was liberated by the Chinese.
Was the Seven-Years-War a World War? No: Only European Countries were involved. Yes: The French and the British fought in Canada, India etc. Finally Canada was won in Silesia (Schlesien) with the help of Prussia.
Was the Crimean War a World War? No: it was fought nearly exclusively on Crimea. Yes: The British sent a fleet to Wladiwostok.
Was the Boxer Uprising a World War? No: it was only fought in the embassies quarter of Beijing. Yes: All the world sent troops to Beijing (Russia, Japan, US, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, UK etc.)
The 2nd WW is a great example: In September 1939 it was a localized war between Germany and Poland (and Soviet Russia). In spring 1945 it was finished as a "World War". But when did it start? Is the Chinese-Japanese war part of it?
