Been fun flying around a lot of famous places including Haifa, Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, Golan Heights, Megiddo etc.
https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/terrains/syria_terrain/
So much fun and educational too. The map is the real thing.
Good to see the plains of Megiddo from the air at my own pace. That is where the 'final' big battle is meant to take place.
Think i will head to Beirut next

I've been searching through news portals and couldn't find anything else about the topic. But if Hungarian foreign minister says so then it has to have a value. Hungarians don't just talk for nothing about important subjects like this. You can't do that if you're trying to present yourselve as a serious actor. Anyway, the article is in Slovenian so I tried to translate some of it. To me, this is by far the most important and positive news so far in 2021.
Central Europe finally revived!
In the end finally! The most important news of the last period of the European Union's existence is the announcement of the enlargement of the Visegrad Group. It will be joined by the remaining three key countries in the region, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. The great act we expected and predicted will happen. Central Europe finally revived!
This extremely encouraging news was announced to Slovenian readers by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó . In his assessment, "that the Visegrad Group is the best functioning European regional connection", he expressed the belief that the current group is " very interested in wider integration ".
The Visegrad Four will “always remain the Visegrad Four”, but because they want, “stronger integration in the region” they have prepared the V4 + model. "Slovenia is definitely one of the countries that belongs to this model." And: "These are the countries closest to us." This summer, the foreign ministers of the announced seven will meet in the hope of an agreement " that the V4 + model will come to life " .
After great historical trials, it finally comes down to, our own to owers, which means a regional rounding based on common democratic values, as will be seen.
Ninety-year-old Milan Kundera, who wrote most about the Tragedy of Central Europe (1983) after the Soviet occupation, will even be able to wait with satisfaction for its resurrection from the communist ashes. In 1992, he was the recipient of the Vilenica International Central European Award, and the year before, the author of the book "It is necessary to save Slovenia". Central European humanist and staunch initiator of Central European integration and democratization, Václav Havel, a rebel against totalitarianism and the communist occupation of Central Europe, left too early to be given the experience of his vision of a revived Central Europe. And last but not least, here is the legacy of Pope John Paul II, who was among the most deserving Democrats for the overthrow of the communist empire and in the most difficult times the promoter of Central Europe with his famous statement: "Europe must breathe again with both wings of the lungs."
Of course it was not easy. The region was affected by the violent war and the post-war occupation of the Soviet aggressor. The exception was Slovenia, where communism with the revolution and civil war was brought by Slovene communists who were studying in Moscow. They organized the worst, bloodiest and also the most stubborn communist occupation " from within", which is still not finished today. Therefore, it strongly hinders the normal development of the country, while in other Central European Slavic countries, however, the process of decommunization is underway. Instead of supporting the active and principled Hungary and Poland in this endeavor, the European Union is holding back and threatening them with its perverted far-left agenda. Even the current democratically oriented Slovenia with the government of Janez Janša suddenly found itself on the dock of not only domestic but also European extreme leftists. The paradox of paradoxes versus the victorious side is that Hitler's former ally is "fascist." Austria came out of the WW2 as beneficiar, it was denazified and democratized relatively quickly, so it can still be an example for us today in this and in many other things.
All Central European countries or nations showed their character in this fateful post-war period. With their democratic tradition, they resisted the Soviet occupation early Hungary (1956), the Czech Republic during the Czech Spring (1968) and the often particularly affected and divided Poland (1956, 1968, 1970, 1985), which still with "Solidarity" dealt a powerful blow to the evil empire. This has intensified with the arms race of US President Ronald Reagan in 1991. USSR collapsed from within. After that Slovenian spring starts, which began irresistibly in June 1988 with the full Congress Square of protesters a year and a half before the fall of the Berlin Wall. The nation stood behind a double basic program: leaving Yugoslavia and establishing democracy. Which was again double-confirmed with the extraordinary result of the plebiscite and the following year with a military victory over the pro-Serbian occupying army.
After half a century of communist occupation, more than half a millennium of tradition of common democratic values has emerged. It was not easy, but a long life in a common state(Habsburg Austria), some of their parts since the medieval Habsburg state, represent the cultural and spiritual identity of Central Europe, as reflected in art, science, education, culture in everyday life, especially in the way of thinking and not last in faith. This, simply, could not be suppressed and the starting point, the religion of Catholicism and Protestantism by the morality of the Ten Commandments, which enabled the development of the entire Western Christian civilization as the most developed in the world. These are the facts, whether one likes it or not. We are talking about the spiritual excellence of Central Europe.
However, let us not overlook the practical way of coexistence. Central European nations are characterized by a similar way of thinking, notion of responsibility, sense of order, organization, attitude to work, evaluation of knowledge, creativity, strong respect for excessive spirituality and thus acceptance of idealism, hence the principles of morality and honesty, which co-formed in similar systems of education, acceptance of social elites, intellectual, bourgeois, political, economic, with high respect for the individual as a political and economic subject, family, nation, all the way to the nation's means of communication, language. The most noble expression of the connection of this Central European spirit is art with its achievements from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, world-class classicism in Viennese musical classicism, a new flourishing in romance.
Let us show this uplift of the Central European nations by the Czech example. This Central European nation lagged far behind in development during the communist occupation. However, in the post-communist period, it was only a matter of time before the most developed Slavic state revived its former life before the war. Development is not in material goods, which can only be confirmed, it is in the way of thinking, traditionally formed values, in morals, knowledge, ambitions. This century-old brought up cannot be destroyed, it comes to light again and again with the generations. We can say that the Czech Republic is already overtaking Slovenia, which does not have a good future in post-communism.
When we talk about the common spirit that has been destructively encroached upon by communism, we are talking about a historical Central European coexistence dating back more than seven hundred years. The beginnings are already marked by the medieval Habsburg archduke in 1282, to which the eastern part of Carniola belongs, and in 1335 Carinthia and the western part of Slovenia with Ljubljana, at the same time with the county of Tyrol. At that time, the development of Slovene lands were among the first parts of the medieval Habsburg state. The establishment of the Habsburg Monarchy in 1526 was followed by a strong influx of new territories, both Czechoslovakia and Moravia, partly Polish Silesia, the northern part of Hungary and Croatia to the sea. In 1699 the monarchy was joined by the rest of the greater southern part of Hungary with Croatia, Lombardy and Veneto, especially interesting for Central Europe, and partly before Tuscany with Florence, etc. As we know, it is 19. century brought dualism with Austria and Hungary, and a debate on trialism also began for the state status of the Slavic peoples within the monarchy, which had ceased to exist with the last year of the war. In its long history, it was one of the most enlightened multinational state communities with a long formal and spiritual-cultural connection of the Germanic, Slavic and Finno-Ugric groups.
Thus, we find that Central Europe, as the heart of Western Europe, is primarily a spiritual superpower, but it is not in terms of physical strength and military potential. After break up of Austria-Hungary empire it found itself between the millstones of pre-war Germany and the Soviet Union, two aggressive totalitarianisms. This physical vulnerability was vividly felt by the Czech President Tomas G. Masaryk , who a year before the collapse of the Habsburg Monarchy urgently expected the formation of a federation of Central European nations for protection against Germany and Russia. The events leading up to the fall of the Berlin Wall gave him absolutely right.
Today, denazified and postmodern Germany has thus been able to become the most developed economic power in Europe and also perhaps the largest economic partner of the Central European Seven, certainly for Slovenia. Some even consider it to be Central Europe (for example, Friedrich Neuman , the first author of the famous monograph Mitteleuropa , Berlin 1915).
Central Europe in the European Union.
After the enthusiasm, disappointment! The new situation of a great common Western European state was a great promise, the ideal of a new democracy, integration, coexistence, enrichment, progress, new power, especially for Central Europe. And then a reversal. Recently, expectations for it have been lower and lower, and for some Central European countries it is already a disappointment today, especially within the European People's Party. Affected people find and note that this is no longer a common people's party, but for the most part it is close to liberals, who are no longer so because they accept the underground values or pseudo-values of cultural Marxism, LGBT, gender theory, illegal migration. We are talking about the degenerate spirit of the European Union, which is the harbinger of the decline of this civilization.
How is this possible? It is a paradox of Central European countries that underwent communism to be strongly aware of their responsibility for democracy, to value it above all else, and Western Europeans, after the post-war life in democracy, no longer have a feeling for it even in the older generation. As if they have become indifferent to communism, they accept cultural Marxism more subconsciously, with the effect of a “boiled frog”. They remain without a sense of responsibility especially to this self-destructive ideology, now with political implications.
Because cultural Marxism operates quietly and underground, its adherents have already begun to cunningly advocate the undisputed value of the rule of law. Precisely for the value with which the dissident Janez Janša should be exemplary released from communist and then post-communist imprisonment, and the post-communist countries of Central Europe should be helped to decommunize, especially in accordance with the three resolutions of the European Union on totalitarianisms (no. 1096 of 1996, No. 1481 of 2006 and on European consciousness and totalitarianism of 2009), rather than further obstructing and accusing them with a farcical fabrication of the rule of law. With this new agenda and the unification of the European Union, they will be able to cause its disintegration. It is as if Yugoslavia is repeating itself and that we have learned nothing from it.
Hungarian President Viktor Orbán has therefore left the European People's Party with his party Fidesz, and with Morawiecki and Salvini he is announcing the establishment of a new European right because, according to his record, "the EPP has finally become an appendage of the European left". The new right will not want illegal migrants, multiculture, LGBT addiction, it will protect Christian values and respect national sovereignty.
Either way, a revived Central Europe will have more political weight, it will be easier to defend its conservative, right-wing Christian values. Let's be specific. The current Visegrad Four has (mostly estimated) a little less than 65 million inhabitants, will be joined by up to 15 million new ones, which is probably a little less than 80 million and is already approaching the German population. If this community is very successful, if it sets an example, it may be joined by Padania (north of Italy), which already wanted to become independent, that is, Lombardy with Venice, perhaps with Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, which amounts to more than 20 million Italians. If northern Italy and free Bavaria joins with 13 million Germans, this amounts to more than 33 million Central Europeans. In best case scenario with Bavaria and north Italy its 113 million central Europeans.
