It is not because Ru.F ‘owes’ anything to others, as it does not, that it should have stepped in; it should have stepped in because Armenia was not just fighting Baku, but Armenia had to fight powerful others in this conflict whose technology was simply overwhelming. Armenia has a capable regional military and its forces are motivated every bit the match for Baku on even terms, BUT this operation was about much more. It was planned at high levels by states who are against Russia. I agree with Zod, this was a strategic error by Russia and it will not end here. Emboldened to a reckless degree will be anti Russian hawks, and makes the argument tough for those in the west who council peace.

It may very well continue in Donbass. Now Kiev knows strategy and, obviously, drones are enough to deal decisive damage to opponent's forces. Without appropriate EWS would be in deep trobles. And such EWS only direct Russian intervention can provide...

No Turks in sight at this time, as per the agreement. Russian numbers are large.

The future has ceased to exist in politics. The present that comes there is:
Armenia becomes a Russian protectorate,
the conflict is frozen along the lines established by Putin
and Turkey receives a new boost as regional power.
The End.

I have a question for those who think that Putin’s policy of moderate appeasements to the anti Russian insatiable wolves in multiple places around Russia’s near abroad are so wonderful, let’s wonder if in an alternative reality, Putin would have forcefully retaliated early on, do you seriously contend that these tryers, would have been so bold in planning and carrying out this successful war against against Armenia?

History is a wonderful teacher but few pay attention in class. France and Britain could have stopped the Hiterite cannibals in when he carved up Czechoslovakia, whom they had agreements of defense with. They appeased Hitler and hailed the calumny as a great strategem. Hitler knee then and there that Britain and France were feckless and weak, and he moved full speed ahead.

Now NATO sees that even countries whom have agreements with Russia can be clandestinely subverted and ultimately undermined and the reaction from Putin tepid. I will tell you this with certainty, you cannot continuously let your opponents take the initiative, if that happens eventually, incrementally you will lose.

According to UN resolutions Karabakh is no Armenian territory FYI

Your mentioning WW2 Munich betrayal of my former homeland the case with Sudeten-Germans was exact opposite, like if the world let Armenia annex Karabakh b/c of their ethnic majority living there.
