The reason I wrote about this^^^ is because one of ours had stones thrown at him - it didn't do much, just bruised one of his knees, but one almost got him in the eye, he, obviously, did not shoot back - the guy has decency and isn't going to kill someone over that, especially not if there's women and children among the crowd, and as you see - the road was pummeled by stones and rocks, those are the white cracks you see on it.

And anyway, if you're so brave to throw rocks at armed men, why aren't you throwing them at the IDF? it isn't us who's raping your women or looting your houses, what a shame.

We understand that people are frustrated and want to vent, kids, women, men, and they do that by throwing rocks at the soldiers, it's understandable, war is stressful, but your actions are going to end up hurting you and the soldier who has done nothing against you, especially if the soldier gets annoyed and tries to do something to get you away or scared.

So, out of your personal safety, and of your community, do not do such actions, it's going to feed into the Israeli propaganda machine, and it will reflect badly on your community.

Ma Xinmin, China's Foreign Ministry's legal adviser, speaking on behalf of China,
saying at the ICJ today that Israel is a colonizer and that the Palestinians have a right to resistance under international law, "including armed struggle", which he "in this context, is distinguished from acts of terrorism".

Here is the exact quote (after the quote I'll link to all the legal texts he refers to):

"The UNGA resolution 3070 of 1973, I quote ‘reaffirms the legitimacy of the peoples' struggle for liberation from colonial and foreign domination and alien subjugation by all available means, including armed struggle’.

This recognition is also reflected in international conventions. For example, the Arab Convention For The Suppression Of Terrorism of 1998, affirms, I quote: ‘the right of peoples to combat foreign occupation and aggression by whatever means, including armed struggle, in order to liberate their territories and secure their right to self-determination and independence’.

Armed struggle, in this context, is distinguished from acts of terrorism. It is granted in international law, this distinction is acknowledged by several international conventions. For example, article 3 of the OAU Convention on the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism of 1999 provides that, I quote: ‘the struggle waged by peoples in accordance with the principles of international law for their liberation or self-determination, including armed struggle against colonialism, occupation, aggression, and domination by foreign forces shall not be considered as terrorist acts’.”

This is in clear contrast to the speech by the Russian Representative at the ICJ.
Russia's speech at the ICJ will be very welcome in Tel Aviv. Moscow urged the World Court to impose no obligations on “Israel” but to urge only a return to the dead “peace process.”

While Moscow recognized Israel’s crimes and said there is no excuse for them, it falsely condemned as “terrorism” the resistance operation on Oct 7, about which “Israel” has told many lies, but most importantly Russia argued that the nonexistent “peace process” should be the only forum for resolution

This terrible speech comes on the same day that "Israel", continues to carry out terrorist attacks against Damascus, crimes that could not take place without Russia's effective permission.

Libyan government says militias to leave Tripoli after deal struck

Armed groups that have been controlling Tripoli for more than a decade have agreed to leave Libya's capital, Al-Awsat reported.

Interior minister Imad Trabelsi, part of the internationally recognised government (GNU), said after lengthy negotiations a deal had been struck for regular forces to police Tripoli.

About the Loss of the Second A-50U Aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Pressing Issue of “Friendly Fire” from Air Defense

February 23, 2024, was marked by the loss of the A-50U long-range radar detection aircraft. This marks the second A-50U aircraft lost since the beginning of the year.

Despite investigators already working with the S-400 air defense crew, which could have launched the A-50U, as well as the control center, there is still no final clarity, only various versions.

The Russian air defense crew engaged with two missiles launched from the Dnieper direction and simply did not have time to engage with the second. This version will likely be used for the official report, as stories about “Patriot in Ambush” are quite popular.

The Russian air defense crew was misled by enemy missiles, accidentally hitting the A-50U. From a purely technical standpoint, it is impossible to rule out the possibility of the enemy deliberately launching anti-aircraft missiles (for example, a modified S-200 Dubna) towards our aircraft to provoke the Russian air defense into returning fire.

The Russian air defense crew mistakenly identified the A-50U as an enemy target and engaged with it. This version is more credible due to the presumption of guilt of the Russian air defense and past confirmed cases of mistaken identity.

We are unlikely to hear the official version from the Russian Ministry of Defense, even though the loss of the A-50U is a significant blow to the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Russian Armed Forces as a whole.

And we will not uncover the truth either; it is in the Ukrainians' interest to attribute all our losses to their strikes and portray the Russian air defense crossbow version as “the psyops of Russian military officers unwilling to credit the Ukrainians.”

Nevertheless, since the beginning of 2024, five aircraft have been lost (the damaged IL-20 was nonetheless grounded).

We will not baselessly claim that all of them were lost due to Russian air defense actions. Concerning the Il-76 with Ukrainian prisoners of war, there are essentially no questions.

The Russian defense department should address these questions if they choose to clarify who is responsible (likely attributing it to the Patriot air defense system).

However, the issue of coordination between air defense and all types of aviation is not just overdue; it has now reached a stage of criminal negligence, undermining the combat readiness of particular types and branches of the military. And evidently, no one is willing to address this issue outright.

We witnessed a similar scenario in the case of the Black Sea Fleet, which ultimately lost a significant portion of its capabilities while posturing aggressively. Eventually, a decision was made to remove the commander and closely monitor the Black Sea Fleet's activities. But at what cost?

May peace be with the fallen Russian soldiers.
