Tell me about it. Sleep is out of the question, even if I had an air conditioner I couldn't afford to run it.

I remember a cool night in September 2014 in Egypt. I was standing with the guards of the guesthouse around a fire to warm us up a little bit, when a German tourist behind us was shouting into his telephone: I cannot sleep, it's too hot. The days before, the temperature had been falling quickly from high in the 40s to the 30s. So we were all shivering during the nights. With air condition I always catch a cold. I switch it off immediately, when I am entering a hotel room. In Germany they switch off the heating during winter nights, so I never can sleep and catch a cold.

In UK I only see the problem in the high humidity.
