The President of Zimbabwe has established a Space Agency
On Tuesday, Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa set up a national space agency, which will become a "tool for modernizing and industrializing the country".
The agency will develop Earth observation satellites and navigation systems for improvements in agriculture, mining, wildlife conservation and sanitary control, he said in Harare.
This initiative is expected to allow the country to be more involved in global discussions on the access, use and regulation of space technology and innovation for sustainable development, he added.
Mnangagwa came to power in November last year after the army took control of the country for a short time and later resigned the longtime leader Robert Mugabe , who ruled for nearly four decades

Thousands join Trump protest as US leader plays golf
They demonstrated as the US president played golf during a visit to his Turnberry resort on the Ayrshire coast.
Mr Trump is in Scotland with his wife and family on a private visit ahead of his summit with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on Monday.
During his golf round he was booed by demonstrators gathered at the perimeter of the resort complex.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-44829539
Many of these people demonstrating at his golf course are likely doing so for reasons relating to the callous way Trump uses dirty tactics to force local residents off their properties so he can expand his golf course further, while also destroying the local environment. The anger felt by the Scots has nothing to do with Trump's Presidency, locals were sick of Trump's behaviour regarding the golf course even before he announced he was running for President. Indeed a film was made about the situation a few years back:

The anger felt by the Scots has nothing to do with Trump's Presidency, locals were sick of Trump's behaviour regarding the golf course even before he announced he was running for President. Indeed a film was made about the situation a few years back:
- You've been Trumped film:
In this David and Goliath story for the 21st century, a group of proud Scottish homeowners take on a celebrity tycoon. At stake is one of Britain's very last stretches of wilderness.
American billionaire Donald Trump has bought up hundreds of acres on the northeast coast of Scotland, best known to movie-lovers as the setting for the 1983 classic film Local Hero. And like the American oil tycoon played by Burt Lancaster, he needs to buy out a few more locals to make the deal come true. In a land swimming with golf courses, Trump is going to build two more – alongside a 450-room hotel and 1,500 luxury homes. The trouble is, the land he has purchased occupies one of Europe’s most environmentally sensitive stretches of coast, described by one leading scientist as Scotland’s Amazon rain forest. And the handful of local residents don't want it destroyed.
After the Scottish Government overturns its own environmental laws to give Trump the green light, the stage is set for an extraordinary summer of discontent, as the bulldozers spring into action. Water and power is cut off, land disputes erupt, and some residents have thousands of tonnes of earth piled up next to their homes. Complaints go ignored by the police, who instead arrest the film's director, Anthony Baxter. Local exasperation comes to a surreal head as the now “Dr” Trump scoops up an honorary doctorate from a local university, even as his tractors turn wild, untouched dunes into fairways.
Told entirely without narration, You've Been Trumped captures the cultural chasm between the glamorous, jet-setting and media savvy Donald Trump and a deeply rooted Scottish community. What begins as an often amusing clash of world views grows increasingly bitter and disturbing. For the tycoon, the golf course is just another deal, with a possible billion dollar payoff. For the residents, it represents the destruction of a globally unique landscape that has been the backdrop for their lives.
Funny, inspiring and heartbreaking in turns, You’ve Been Trumped is both an entertaining, can't-believe-it's-true tale and an environmental parable for our celebrity driven times. A moving score features music from jónsi, the internationally acclaimed musician and frontman of Sigur Ros. The film also offers a rare and revealing glimpse of the unfiltered Donald Trump, as he considers standing as a candidate for President of the United States.

- Neighbors of Trump golf course in Scotland decry a bully trying to expand:
- BALMEDIE, Scotland — David Milne flies the Mexican flag along with Scotland's colors at his home in a former coast guard station here with views overlooking Trump International Golf Links. It's his way of sending a message to the man who now occupies the White House.
Long before the world received an inkling of what type of president that a billionaire New York real-estate mogul would make, Milne and other residents of this small coastal community on a wild stretch of northeastern Scotland bore witness to a Donald Trump who, they said, makes grandiose claims and resorts to bullying and other unsavory tactics to get his way.
"He says he will give you the earth and gives you a handful of dirt," said Milne, 53, a health-and-safety consultant for the oil and gas industry.
Milne and his wife are among the property owners who are entangled in a decade-long David vs. Goliath battle with Trump over his attempt to transform more than 600 acres of rolling farmland and environmentally important sand dunes into a world-class golf course and resort.
Just last week, Scotland's Environment Protection Agency and Scottish Natural Heritage, a conservation group, expressed fresh concerns about how the development plans could contravene rules on sewage pollution, groundwater and dune preservation.
Yet Trump's son, Eric, said during a visit to Scotland in late July that the Trump Organization was ready to start the next stage of the development, a move that those who live next to the course fear could force them to sell.
Trump previously denied he would consider using compulsory purchases — a legal maneuver similar to eminent domain — to expand. Yet letters drafted by Trump's lawyers and sent to local planning officials in 2009 and seen by USA TODAY show his company has considered the tactic, which allows property for projects in the public interest to be acquired against the owners' will. Trump International Golf Links did not respond to a request for clarification.

- Trump accused of breaking promises and ruining Scottish dunes:
- The spectacular dunes habitat in Aberdeenshire used by Donald Trump for his £1bn golf resort is likely to lose its legal protection because his golf course has ruined the site, conservationists say.
Expert ecologists, including one who advised on the US president’s original plans for the course a decade ago, believe the sand dunes will be stripped of their status as a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) by the government’s conservation agency, Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH).
The agency has confirmed that it is reviewing whether the lengthy stretch of dunes north of Aberdeen, known as Foveran Links, which is partly covered by Trump’s course, still qualifies for special conservation status.
Jim Hansom, a specialist in coastal ecology at Glasgow University, told a BBC Scotland documentary marking the first anniversary of Trump’s election as US president that the extensive works to create the 18-hole course meant the habitat was no longer worth preserving.
“It’s been ruined from a virgin undeveloped wilderness site into something that’s relatively manicured,” Hansom said. He said he would be “absolutely surprised” if the site kept its protected status since it had lost the key features that led to it being given that protection.

A British cave diver who helped rescue 12 Thai boys from deep within a cave has said he is considering suing tech entrepreneur Elon Musk.
In now-deleted tweets, Mr Musk had called Vern Unsworth a "pedo guy" after the cave expert ridiculed a mini-submarine built by Mr Musk for the rescue effort as a "PR stunt".
Mr Unsworth told reporters on Monday that he was considering legal action.
"It's not finished," he told Australian network Channel 7.
Thailand-based Mr Unsworth's knowledge of the cave complex is said to have played a key role in the rescue effort. He travelled into the caves in the first days after the boys went missing and helped bring in top international cave rescue experts for the mission.
Mr Unsworth had earlier said that the mini-sub built by Mr Musk's team and flown to Thailand before being rejected as inappropriate for the rescue mission by Thai officials would have had "absolutely no chance of working".

Zero fucking tolerance for pedophiles.
Second, what is wrong in the heads of those people who are giving their children drugs to stop them from reaching puberty????!!! What the actual fuck! That shit makes me want to slam my fist into the monitor. Actually that whole video pist me off. Who the hell turns their little girl (under five years old) into a boy. Oh wait..the man who transited to a woman..thats who.
Listen, I don't care about anyones sexual preference, or if they want to become a different gender. Adults can do what they wish with other adults who wish to do it with them, but let the children grow up to make their own choices.
I realize there is more in that video with his discuss of demons on display and why they do it. Bad is good and so on and so forth..and people eat that shit up like it's bbq steak.

It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super-states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace." - "The Obsolete Man" - The Twilight Zone, 1961
"I assure you, ladies and gentlemen that, very soon history will show that we and our allies have fought a war on behalf of the whole world against terrorism supported by governments that will be held accountable by its own people..."
Quoting Dostoyevsky:
"Rest assured, hell is big enough for all. It doesn't deserve this fierce competition over who will be the worst." - Dr. Bashar Jaafari, UNSC session, 22nd of February, 2018

A remote, boggy stretch of land on the north coast of Scotland is set to become the UK's first spaceport.
The A'Mhoine Peninsula in Sutherland has been chosen as the most suitable place from which to launch rockets vertically to put satellites in orbit.
The UK Space Agency is giving Highlands and Islands Enterprise £2.5m towards the development of the facility.
HIE will work closely with a consortium that includes the American aerospace giant Lockheed Martin.
The Scotland money is part of a package of grants to foster UK launch capability that was announced by Business Secretary Greg Clark at the Farnborough International Air Show.
Mr Clark detailed a total of £33.5m in grants from a reserved pot of £50m to help drive forward proposals.
Lockheed will get the lion's share at £23.5m. The company wants to bring the Electron rocket to Scotland. Currently, this vehicle flies out of New Zealand.
