Adam Phillippy at the National Institutes of Health and Karen Miga at the University of California, Santa Cruz, cochair the T2T consortium,
which has members across the globe. Until now, they say, around 8% of the human genome has been missing from reference genomes.
The consortium used two competing new sequencing technologies (developed by Pacific Biosciences in California and Oxford Nanopore in the UK)
that avoid this problem by allowing researchers to sequence much longer stretches of the genome with high accuracy.

In the 5th century BC the Persian Shah-in-Shah gave permission to a group of Jews to create a Jewish state in the Levant (the "Kyros-edict", cf. Balfour declaration during WW I) in connection with a Jewish bank in Babylon (cf. Rothschild in London) to collect the taxes in the province of Egypt. The result was, that this Jewish group coming over from Babylon found, that there was living a group of Jews already (the "Samaritans"). They were treated like animals. The Persians lost access to Egypt and the Egyptians rose up against the Jewish tax-collectors and expelled them. In the 4th century BC the Persians could re-occupy Egypt, but only to get defeated by Alexander from Makedonia, who renewed the permission for this Jewish state.
It took till 70 AD to get rid of this state.
The Persians should know this and act accordingly.
