Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) released an outline of potential sanctions against Turkey on Wednesday, following the news of a Turkish military offensive against Kurdish forces in northern Syria.
The senators say their sanctions will go into effect upon enactment unless the Trump administration confirms that "Turkey is not operating unilaterally" in Syria and has withdrawn its armed forces from areas it occupied as of Wednesday.
Graham told Axios' Jonathan Swan that he predicts he will have more than enough votes to override a presidential veto of the sanctions, saying: "Who the hell supports Erdogan over the Kurds?"

This would be quite significant if the US cut off supplies of spare parts for Turkey's F-16s, Chinooks, and other equipment. Not to mention, the production of Blackhawk helicopters in Turkey.
But if the US pursues more damaging sanctions that cut off Turkey's access to spare parts for existing systems and the license for Blackhawk production, Turkey will likely sign a # of large arms deals with Russia to compensate (and Russia really needs to sell helicopters). 3/

The main reason for my wish to change this society is that so many human skills have no chance to come to fruition. Instead they are used in a really sick way so that people are maintaining their own suffering from wars, hunger and illness. But it can not be changed "top-down", only in some kind of "grassroots revolution" or better "evolution" where more and more people work together to get rid of TPTB (whoever that is).
No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.
That is what I mean with "I'm on the side of the people".
