Normally the Chinese make a sport out of this. They know perfectly well, that the Indians have their troops in Kashmir proper and have to bring them over the mountains into Ladakh and then up the glacier. Till the Indians arrive at the point on the glacier, where the Chinese were located, they are gone. The problem is, that Kashmir occupied the Tibetan Ladakh, then the British occupied Kashmir and then the British left India. So there is no clear line between India and China.

I would be careful, there are "interested groups" seeding dissent from both sides. There are people who want to sabotage objective discussions - divide and rule. I notice this in the discussion in German forums, as soon as an attempt at understanding "threatens" to be successful, the trolls jump in between.

Once again - people of Hong Kong are free to go anywhere they want to.
If they live in unbearable poverty conditions as the clip suggests, why are not the poor fleeing to "mother" China?
I am not saying that everyone lives decently in Hong Kong - obviously not and there is a huge disparity that should not exist in such a rich country. that does not mean at all that those poor people will live any better in China - by the contrary - the fact that they prefer to stay proves it.
Secondly - I am not saying there are no foreign interests there - of course there are.
US wants to keep China in check - they want conflicts around the world so they can play world cop and spend trillions on weaponry toys, bully weak countries and brag about it.
That doesn't mean that China is the angel here. Claiming territories lost up to 350 years ago is anachronistic and show imperial ambitions or at least regional domination. CCP doesn't give a shit about the standard of living of the people of Hong Kong. They didn't give a shift about the lives of tens of millions of Chinese people the purposely starved to death.
So the truth is that the people of Hong Kong don't want to back to China. The fact that the US is stirring the pot and takes advantage of the same people to advance their agenda is less important so don't use it to cover the truth.

If you want the truth - that is there is no such thing as a "free" country. There is not and there never was. There are countries where the oppression is lower or higher, where the illusion of liberty is stronger or weaker. The inner strength, intellectual abilities and psychology of the individual make him a slave or a free man, not the society he lives in.
A state is by definition an oppressive system that dictates the will of some (in autocracies) or of the majority (in democracies) upon the others, thus limiting their freedom.
