Monsanto proves they’ll do anything to pad their pockets, including manufacturing “scientific studies” to influence the EPA while destroying small farmers. They unleashed the scourge of Roundup on us and should be held accountable for the consequences.

You seem to have left out one important detail about Venezuela's oil:  It was U.S. Oil Companies that discovered it.   They went to the Venezuelan government and struck a deal to develop the oil reserves and bring them to market.

At some point - I haven't looked-up exactly when -- Venezuela "nationalized" the oil industry, kicked-out the US Oil companies and kept all the equipment, oil and profits for themselves.

In America, we call this a government "taking."  Our government can "take" private property for public use, but under OUR laws, the government must offer "just compensation" to the owner of the property taken.   TO my knowledge -- and I may be wrong -- Venezuela offered nothing.

They took the oil drilling gear, the oil rigs, the storage facilities, refining facilities and port facilities, and gave NOTHING to the U.S. corporations  who spent hundreds-of-millions to develop, drill, and install infra-structure, to unleash that oil.  THAT is why there are Sanctions upon Venezuela, they committed theft of U.S. corporation property.

Did they really think it would be business as usual with the US after they stole?   Any belief there would be no consequences, was error.

The Sanctions upon Venezuela HAVE hurt them; and they brought it all upon themselves.  No sympathy from me.

Deals with companies as Chevron or Shell are anything but fair. This Venezuelan case goes back to first years of the last century. Even back then local workers were largerly unsatisfied with salaries and described foreign bosses as invaders, criticized oil corporations and banks for earning millions on Venezuelan oil and paying ridiculous wages in return.

All such deals are meant to benefit foreign corporations, not the resource owners. Under the ostnsibly legitimate terms of business agreements it's the way how tu funnel out wealth of the named country. It's agreed between foreign company and friendly government. It's the real thievery and we can't go sa far to history to see clear example: Russia during the Yeltsin's era. Russian oil/gas industry was heavily infiltrated by the pawns of the globalist corporations. It resulted in devastation and wide scale thievery of Russian resources which were thransported abroad as the country had nothing in return. The situation dramaticaly changed when Putin entered the office and started to hunt down all the thiefs and criminals who participated in attempted balkanization of the country. Of course he was immediately labeled as despotic, undemocratic leader. But who cares? Since then he managed to restore the country, dramatically decreased poverty rate and so on. This is clear example how it works when globalist corporations are allowed to participate in domestic industry under their own terms agreed on by the friendly, treacherous government appointed/backed by the same globalists, who are linked to the corporations.

And this is exactly what Guaido wants to do next - give venezelan oil to the foreign companies again.

As the bottom line I would like to remind that the Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) - venezuelan state owned company - BOUGHT nubers of US (and Europe) based oil companies. Among others it's owner of 100% share in Citgo rafinery.

Also, it's important to note that before this the US-backed opposition in Venezuela had already carried out a (short lived)coup against Chavez and tried to interfere and undermine the country in various ways because Chavez wasn't taking orders from Washington like his predecessors did. So the US was already making aggressive moves towards Venezuela. Only in the years after that did the Chavez ask the US oil companies to restructure their holdings in the country. Several agreed to do so, two refused - Exxon and another company I forget the name. Nevertheless, the Chavez govt still offered or gave financial compensation to these two oil companies. The oil companies demanded further compensation though, and AFAIK the courts that deal with these matters ruled in favor of the Venezuela govt anyway.

I think the other one could be Conoco and, actually, PDVSA and Conoco agreed on $2 billion compensation last year after a series of lawsuits.

Yemen's government and Huthi rebels have agreed on the first phase of a pullback of forces from the key city of Hodeida, in a deal the United Nations described Sunday as important progress. The redeployment from Hodeida is a critical part of a ceasefire deal reached in December in Sweden that calls on the government and Huthis to move forces away from ports and parts of city.
The fragile truce deal marks the first step toward ending a devastating war that has pushed Yemen to the brink of famine.
Following two days of talks in Hodeida city, the government and Huthis finalized a deal on the first phase of the pullback and also agreed in principle on the second phase, a UN statement said.

When Chavez went to nationalize the oil the oil prices were actually at the highest ever seen. And what with the attempts by the US to undermine and throw out the elected Chavez in years previously, it it could be argued that it was actually very important for the stability of the Venezuela that the US companies weren't going to benefit from those sky high oil prices which could have been used to entrench their position in Venezuela and undermine the Venezuela govt further.

It's hard to tell who the bigger terrorist state is, Israel or the United States...

US President Donald Trump has issued an angry response after a TV interview on Sunday alleged that officials had held discussions to have him removed.

Mr Trump tweeted of "illegal and treasonous" behaviour and an "illegal coup attempt".

In the interview, ex-acting FBI chief Andrew McCabe said talks had been held in 2017 about invoking a clause that can remove a president deemed unfit.

I saw the photo in the tweet and noticed the ship in the photo is the USS Ronald Reagan.   But the Reagan is forward-deployed in Japan and its home port is Yokosuka, Japan.

So I wondered WHY the USS Ronald Reagan which should be in Japan - or at least somewhere in the PACIFIC OCEAN -- is photographed as being in Cartegena, Colombia?

So I called the Pentagon and told them, "I am looking at a photograph of the USS Ronald Reagan and the story it is attached to says it is in Cartegena, Colombia.  Why is the Reagan in Colombia?"   The Pentagon's response: "It's not there."

I think the photo is meant as illustrative. The article doesn't name specific aircraft carrirer but states that there is large number of US warships and submarines docked in Cartagena and US strikke group sails nearby Venezuela:

As per this article the closest aircraft carrier is Abraham Lincoln:
