Mass media: Slovakia signed an agreement with Ukraine on the transfer of MiG-29 fighters
Acting Minister of Defense of Slovakia Jaroslav Nagy and Ambassador of Ukraine to Bratislava Miroslav Kastran signed an intergovernmental agreement on the transfer of 13 MiG-29 fighter jets, as well as 2 Kub anti-aircraft missile systems to Kiev. This was reported on Friday by the TASR news agency. Earlier, the Slovak government decided to send Ukraine MiG-29 fighters withdrawn from the National Air Force in August 2022. Bratislava expects compensation from the US and EU for the planes. According to Slovak media, Washington should supply Bratislava with military equipment worth $700 million, and the EU will pay $200 million from a special fund.
According to the Pravda portal, Acting Prime Minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger informed that following an extraordinary cabinet meeting, he had a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The latter, according to Heger, highly appreciated the efforts of Bratislava to strengthen the defense capability of his country and invited the head of the Slovak government to visit Ukraine. Heger accepted the invitation and intends to go on a visit to Kiev soon, the portal notes.

The Russian Embassy in Bratislava, commenting on the decision to supply Kiev, called it illegal, since " Russian-Slovak agreements unequivocally exclude the transfer of weapons and military equipment [of Soviet and Russian production] to third states without the permission of the producing country."

A few days ago I read about an - at first glance small - experience of someone. Somehow the thought of it does not let me go anymore. 

Someone saw a little boy with a mask in a subway and explained to him that it was no longer necessary after all. The boy had then whispered desperately "but I'm so scared".

Nuclear power plant leaks 400,000 gallons of radioactive water

While Xcel Energy reported the leak of water containing tritium to state and federal authorities in late November, the spill had not been made public before Thursday.

Minnesota regulators said Thursday they’re monitoring the cleanup of a leak of 400,000 gallons of radioactive water from Xcel Energy’s Monticello nuclear power plant, and the company said there’s no danger to the public.

State officials said they waited to get more information before going public with it.
