2nd: When I heard the new German Minister of Defense talking about the delivery of the Leopard 2 tanks, I thought, I did not hear correctly, because he mentioned, that the German Federal Forces (Bundeswehr) will organize the supply and logistics. This was not mentioned or discussed in the mainstream media. Maybe we find a youtube video of his announcement. Then I dug deeper. Normally, when Germany is delivering tanks to other states, this state can directly connect with the producer and the Federal Forces are not involved. But now I hear, that even the German Chancellor has promised support of the Federal Forces to Kiev. If this is the case, even if no German soldier is entering Ukrainian territory, the German forces are a legitimate target for Russia.
Yes, we are at war, even if nobody is telling you. Germany is f***ed.

Things are getting really serious. I don't really see things calming down or peace breaking out any time soon.
Our only hope is the people of Ukraine wake up and stop the war. The have lost so many people already.
It is odd that so many people I talk have no idea about this war or the parallels with ww2. some even seem to get excited thinking about how many Russians are dead. They seem to think it's ok for 1000 Ukrainians to die as long as at least one Russian dies too.
They all seem to really hate Russians but when pushed as to why the only thing they can say is Putin is bad therefore they hate all Russians.
It's like they are all brain dead zombies, unable to think and completely unable to see where this is all headed.
At least Mr Badger is back!

There is another point: If US would deliver Abrams via the Atlantic, Russia would have the right to control all ships and take them away (prize, Prise). According to the Paris Declaration Respecting Maritime Law 1856 (signed by Russia, but not by US) Russia is entitled to take all contrabande of war taken on foreign ships even if officially neutral.

As per Geneva Convention, Title XIII:
Art. 6.
The supply, in any manner, directly or indirectly, by a neutral Power to a belligerent Power, of war-ships, ammunition, or war material of any kind whatever, is forbidden.
That is why Russia should rather declare war as the rules that apply would be different.
Geneva Convention does not provide provisions for a SMO - whatever that is.
This means that if Russia declares war on Ukraine, the West assistance either must stop or an official war between Russian and all the Western countries involved will be effective.
