On this day, we commemorate the two-year Indigenous rebellion of 1780 against the Spanish crown led by Tupac Amaru II and his wife Micaela Bastidas, his strategist and main advisor. It was the biggest Indigenous revolution of all time, spreading to part of what is today Perú, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador & Colombia.
Tupac Amaru II, born José Gabriel Condorcanqui in Surimana, Perú, was a descendant of the mythical Indigenous rebel Tupac Amaru and was one of the Indigenous nobles known as Curaca (chief), an Incan political authority kept by the Spanish empire as part of a power balance to maintain control of Indigenous peoples. Amaru II ruled them in the name of the region’s governor.
After being excommunicated by the catholic church & denied his royal Indigenous lineage by Spain, he adopted the title Tupac Amaru II, calling for an Indigenous uprising against exploitation and the freedom of enslaved Black people in Spain's American colonies.
With several victories against Spanish loyalists, Amaru surrounded Cusco hoping in vain that the city’s Indigenous population would join his army’s ranks. Refusing to kill the people in the city, Amaru ended the siege and retreated to his military base in Tinta, where 15,000-20,000 reinforcements from Lima were ultimately able to defeat his army.
Amaru managed to escape but was later betrayed, captured and then imprisoned and tortured in Cusco. On May 18, 1781, he and his family were brutally executed. His 10-year old son, Fernando, was forced to witness the torture and brutal death of most of his family, to later be imprisoned almost his entire life in Spain.
The bodies of Amaru and his family were dismembered and their parts put on public display in towns across the country to warn locals against rebelling.
Although Amaru and his family were killed, the rebellion sparked a revolutionary process that historians say culminated in Latin America's independence from the Spanish Crown decades later. His prophetic last words were: “I will return and I will be millions.”

The main reason for my wish to change this society is that so many human skills have no chance to come to fruition. Instead they are used in a really sick way so that people are maintaining their own suffering from wars, hunger and illness. But it can not be changed "top-down", only in some kind of "grassroots revolution" or better "evolution" where more and more people work together to get rid of TPTB (whoever that is).
No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.
That is what I mean with "I'm on the side of the people".

Somebody is causing these strategic withdrawals certainly not these kids,I accept the Russian army has had some bloody street battles from Stalingrad to Chechnya and may not wont such a thing at the moment but Im finding it hard to follow as to what their logic is

It seems there are more and more foreign mercs dying in recent weeks. Not at some grouping points, hotels etc. But right on the battlefield. There's many of them, I guess. Regarding Kherson, well, it makes sense. Supplying troops across the river with constant stream of ammo and equipment, in face of looming Kiev offensive, would be more than difficult. Dneper makes quite good natural defense line.
So, on one hand, it's loss of the oblast's capital, on other hand much more stable defense line.

These are the things that the military guys in the rear with the gear have and make a fortune with in most wars.

In mid-October, it also became known that the UK government will supply Ukraine with AIM-120 medium-range missiles for American NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems.
Do we know if any Russian aircraft have been hit by Western-supplied systems yet?
If not, I guess we'll find out the hard way when they do.

300 aircraft mostly drones 5 Ka52 and 23 Su25's,information is a few weeks old,a few helicopters and jets but not as many as you'd think
