Yesterday, a German economic expert (or was it someone from an industry association?) said that this would put the German economy in quite a predicament, as it would also affect payment transactions between corporations with their Russian divisions and subsidiaries. The main reason for my wish to change this society is that so many human skills have no chance to come to fruition. Instead they are used in a really sick way so that people are maintaining their own suffering from wars, hunger and illness. But it can not be changed "top-down", only in some kind of "grassroots revolution" or better "evolution" where more and more people work together to get rid of TPTB (whoever that is).
No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.
That is what I mean with "I'm on the side of the people".

Agreed. 8 years agou it would be much easier. 8 years were given to find diplomatic way from this mess. However, kindness was mistaken for weakness.

People don’t appreciate military difficulties here. Russia has approximately same number or less than Ukrops in field. All strategies for attack state to be successful, attacker must have at least 3-1 ratio. Also you can guarantee that west is in control of Ukrop formations remotely, and are coordinating efforts of defense. West also provides intelligence regarding Russian movements via satellite in real time. This case is no pushover. Hopefully Ukrop army will override puppet regime and cease useless destructions.

Strelkov, a few days ago, said "War will not be easy. If someone thought that this war would be easy and bloodless then he was definitely wrong. But it definitely wasn't me." Russian army adopted strategy of minimal damage to civilian targets. They did not even attacked army barracks during first day of this operation. Expected outcome was mass desertion of UA troops. Obviously, this did not happen. This is result of 8 years long western brainwashing and open support for neo-nazi sentiments.
Also, another mistake, directly linked to the strategy, is that UA television and redio stations were not shut down. That's probably the biggest mistake as it gives opponet aupper hand in information war.

I admit I am not fully conversant with this situation so I don't really have a dog in this fight.I realize most people here gravitate Russia's way that being said Volodymyr Zelenskyy has impressed me he apparently turned down a US offer to evacuate him and is showing up in the front lines with defenders and demonstrating he has some guts.

Personally I don't care about him much. He's just a puppet, successor of western installed regime after 2014's coup. What he does is just PR to get more support, withnin Ukraine and abroad. How do we know the whole story about refusal of evacuation is even real? We do not. But it sounds good. It sounds exactly as a script written by some alphabet agency.
And there's one more thing - he has not many options, actually. Neo-nazi thugs would turn against him in no time. There were some violent demonstrations against him in last months already...
