One might think so, but except for the dark blue Central-West field (North Rhine-Westphalia), the two in the south and the more northerly one (Lower Saxony) are average to sparsely populated. Afaik there's not much difference. East Germany, however, is "older" on average because many younger people moved west, especially 20-30 years ago. Those in the east, however, have been more stubborn all along, have adhered less to measures, seem to have been infected more often, especially last year, and may therefore be better immunised. See Sweden ...

But one can only assume everything because the German government and its experts have an aversion to scientifically correct research, data collection and statistics on the subject.
