They think turkish drones can win them a war but forgetting that Armenians didn't had air superiority and Russians do. Besides that Russian artillery would be a big factor in favor of DPR.

Russian federation was never officially involved in conflict in new russia. it is true that russian federation has advantage in air and in artillery. But, that would mean that official russian army unites (not little green man) would be deployed. There is no legal basis for such action. And it is a question how many anti aircraft weapons has new russia.

new russia has no pantsir systems, no long range drones...BUK systems (if there are any) are not designed for taking out drones. and it is not like DNR and LNR can buy this type of systems on open market. all the weapons that were transfers from russia to LNR and DNR were from time of soviet union. and it was hard tracking their origin. if there are pantsir systems in DNR or LNR it will be very easy to find out who have provided them.

if ukraine attacks with drones DNR and LNR they will be destroyed in month or two. I do not think that russia will provide anti aircraft weapons and drones to LNR and DNR. Russian federation may deploy anti aircraft units of russian army but in that case official units of russian federation are on territory of neighboring country (ukraine) without any legal reason. and that is foreign aggression.

Russian federation can try and use that type of concept (excuse) but it will be met with condemnation from around the world and especially from western countries. also, you have to take into account that all (most?) citizens who have russian citizenship from LDNR also have Ukrainian citizenship. I do not think they went to ukraine to renounce their citizenship. They are by international law all Ukraine citizens.

Any other ideas ?

I would guess that ukraine drone pilots need a week or two of practice to start flying combat missions. Russian federation needs to start deployment of anti drone (aircraft) weapons very soon if they are to be on their forward positions at the time of attack. Or do you think they will wait for deployment until DNR and LNR start losing ?

and this is true. west loves concept such as the “responsibility to protect” (R2P). but only if west is doing it. not if somebody else is doing it. then west is condemning such an action in UN and is trying to put sanctions on the country who is doing it.

That can only be a problem to someone who doesn't understand the dynamic of relations of the region and how things work there. To solve this war, Russian involvement was always self-evident. Its not like anyone can do anything about it anyway.

I don't think condemnation from around the world plays any role in Russian conscious its not like western world acts in favor of Russia anyway. Russians stopped caring about what West thinks or how they like or condemn them long time ago. In short, it does not matter..
