Trump’s first move after losing the election is to fire his Defence Secretary and top officials at the Pentagon + replacing them with loyalists.
This is starting to display the hallmarks of an old-fashioned power grab.
Imagine.

They ultimately calculated that Putin would not stop them because they have studied his reactions from their previous provocations and determined to THEIR reasoning, that focused aggression against Russian interests brings few MATERIAL consequences.

Guest 12 wrote:Yes of-course the situation in Armenia is complex; I agree the president there tried to have it both ways, he tried to be clever and it failed. There is no question about that. If the issue was solely about Baku vs Yerevan over disputed territory the matter would be different. The issue is that a coalition of anti Russian state actors conspiring to undermine Russia and build their power base in the caucuses, used the disputed territories as PRETEXT, to exploit tensions and gain advantage. They were successful.
They ultimately calculated that Putin would not stop them because they have studied his reactions from their previous provocations and determined to THEIR reasoning, that focused aggression against Russian interests brings few MATERIAL consequences.
But were they really? Pashinyan's career is done. He was leader of 2018's color revolution. Dashnaktsutyun party (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) calls for his resignation. The party is described as nationalistic and pro-Russian. Exactly what foreign atni-Russian state actors don't need. Just two months ago Russia and Dashnaktsutyun party discussed Armenian-Russian cooperation...

I concur. This is why I mentioned Donbass in my first reply yesterday. Maybe you missed it. For Russia itself such threat is negligible, Russian EWS are very capable and can protect military installations and sites of interest, as was proved in Syria. Regions as Donbass can be endangered. On other hand Ossetia doesn't need to be concerned very much because Russian army is presented there and only idiot would try to repeat Saakashvili's mistake.
What I find quite interesting is how fast was Armenian defeat. Much worse armed, trained and equipped Houthis fight effectively against Saudi coalition backed by US for 5 years.

I can't see that happening here in the UK, sadly.
British police officers seem to be hand-picked and are self-righteous, condescending assholes.
Thinking about it, I too can be a self-righteous, condescending asshole, which is why it's best that I avoid any contact with them. There would inevitably be a fight.

The drone tech applications now constantly evolving will require much in the realm of asymmetrical defenses, and no longer will masses armor formations be a guarantee for offensive or defensive success. Yes the situation with regards to the Yemenis is perplexing, however the Saudi military is abysmal. Saudis require the Americans to operate all high tech platforms. Speaking of such, I think this senile Biden will only be front man for their deep state, and we will see much belligerent attitudes coming from them against Russia. Dunno if already posted, about Mr. Schwab, the German Nazi behind Davos.
https://off-guardian.org/2020/10/12/klaus-schwab-his-great-fascist-reset
" ... Schwab seems to have dedicated his life to reinventing that nightmare and to trying to turn it into a reality not just for Germany but for the whole world.
Worse still, as his own words confirm time and time again, his technocratic fascist vision is also a twisted transhumanist one, which will merge humans with machines in “curious mixes of digital-and-analog life”, which will infect our bodies with “Smart Dust” and in which the police will apparently be able to read our brains.
And, as we will see, he and his accomplices are using the Covid-19 crisis to bypass democratic accountability, to override opposition, to accelerate their agenda and to impose it on the rest of humankind against our will in what he terms a “Great Reset“.
Schwab is not, of course, a Nazi in the classic sense, being neither a nationalist nor an anti-semite, as testified by the $1 million Dan David Prize he was awarded by Israel in 2004.
But 21st century fascism has found different political forms through which to continue its core project of reshaping humanity to suit capitalism through blatantly authoritarian means.
This new fascism is today being advanced in the guise of global governance, biosecurity, the “New Normal”, the “New Deal for Nature” and the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”.
Schwab, the octogenarian founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, sits at the centre of this matrix like a spider on a giant web.

Instead they are used in a really sick way so that people are maintaining their own suffering from wars, hunger and illness. But it can not be changed "top-down", only in some kind of "grassroots revolution" or better "evolution" where more and more people work together to get rid of TPTB (whoever that is).
No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.
That is what I mean with "I'm on the side of the people".
