You know Zod, it is good that Putin has drills in western and southern departments, because if Empire controlled Baku attacks Armenia than Russia should blitzkrieg both Azerbaijan and Georgia too for that matter. That way getting rid of malign influences in the region. Tiblisi and Baku would be in Russian hands in a few days. Time to go for the big monies while The Empire is distracted with internal idiocies.

Wider conflict between Armenia and Azerbaiijan would deepen cracks in Russia-Turkey cooperation at very least. Someone already mentioned that all of this is Pompeo's plan. Turkey is already in indirect conforntation with Egypt (in Libya and Ethipia). Wider regional conflict is quite possible. Half of the region is already in some level of armed conflict, or on the brink of some.

I think, Zambeesi sees one plan from Langley behind all these little fires. Russia tries to calm down A and A. Iran also wants to help. This conflict endangers the cooperation between Turkey and Iran in Northern Iraq against the Kurds and it already provokes the Iranian Azeris to demonstrate (for Azerbaijan and against Tehran). This secessionist card is often played by Langley.
