I have travelled in Xinjiang. Of course the Uighur don't like Beijing, but they can live a far better life than their neighbours in Afghanistan or even in Jordan or Egypt. Of course they are trained to be "Chinese". They need names written in Chinese characters not only in Arabic script. Since emperor Han Wudi more than 2000 years ago this area is part of 中国, long before the first Uighurs arrived and long before Islam was created.

Azerbaijan says one of its generals and five other officers have been killed in a third day of fighting with Armenian forces on the countries' border.
An Azeri private also died, bringing the Azeri death toll so far to 11. Armenia says two Armenian officers were killed.
Reports of Israeli drone shot down by Armenia aswell.
I can't help but think Iran is using Armenia as a proxy to attack Azerbaijan in revenge for Azerbaijan having Israeli bases and Iran suspects the recent sabotage attacks in Iran were planned from Azerbaijan. Why do Iran and Azerbaijan not like each other as they are both Shia?
