If U.S. creditors, like China and Japan don't want to have to pay the cost to bailout the U.S. economy as well as their own, they will dump their U.S. dollar reserves, Treasuries, and any dollar denominated debt, and buy #gold as fast as they can. My guess is that's their plan!

I saw the picture of the track, there was a very slight curve and the trains are running (afaik) with >250 km/h. A derailment on the bridge would have been at least as bad as the ICE accident in Eschede in 1998.
