the logical 'answer' to their rampant poverty is China building power plants/infrastructure and trade route through Afghanistan/Pakistan...

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to conduct a special military operation.
In the Kupiansk direction, units of the "Western" group of troops, in cooperation with artillery and aviation, repelled six attacks by assault groups of the 32nd, 60th mechanized and 95th airborne brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka in the Kharkiv region and Terny in the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost up to 155 servicemen, two tanks, three armored combat vehicles, two vehicles and a Gvozdika self-propelled gun.
In the Krasnolimansk direction, units of the Center group of troops, supported by air strikes and artillery fire, repelled three attacks by formations of the 63rd Mechanized, 25th Airborne Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 5th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Chervonaya Dibrova of the Lugansk People's Republic, Yampolovka and Grigorovka of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy's losses amounted to more than 220 servicemen, six armored combat vehicles, including a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, four vehicles, a US-made M777 artillery system, a Gvozdika self-propelled gun, a US-made M119 howitzer, as well as an electronic warfare station.
In the Donetsk direction, as a result of successful active actions of units of the "Southern" group of troops, the settlement of Veseloye of the Donetsk People's Republic was liberated. Aviation strikes, artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems defeated the manpower and equipment of the 22nd, 42nd, 93rd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Klishcheevka and Andreevka of the Donetsk People's Republic. As a result, more than 260 servicemen, a tank, two infantry fighting vehicles and 17 vehicles were destroyed. In the course of counter-battery fighting, three US-made M777 artillery systems, US-made Paladin and Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mounts, as well as a D-30 howitzer were hit.
In the South Donetsk direction, the coordinated actions of units of the Vostok group of troops, in cooperation with aviation and artillery, repelled the attack of the assault group of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
In addition, the formations of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade were defeated in the area of the village of Vodiane of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost more than 130 servicemen, two vehicles, two British-made FH-70 howitzers, as well as a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery mount.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, units of the Russian group of forces inflicted fire damage on the manpower and equipment of the 33rd Mechanized, 82nd Air Assault Brigade, 128th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Rabotino, Mala Tokmachka and Zherebyanka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 30 servicemen, a tank, three vehicles, as well as two howitzers: D-20 and D-30.
In the Kherson direction, as a result of fire damage to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy lost up to 65 servicemen, three tanks and five vehicles. In the course of counter-battery fighting, the following were hit: the US-made M777 artillery system, three howitzers: Giatsint-B, Msta-B and D-20, as well as the Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount.
Rocket Forces and Artillery, attack unmanned aerial vehicles of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit two points of temporary deployment of foreign mercenaries, four missile and ammunition depots, 117 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 133 districts.
By means of air defense during the day two Tochka-U tactical missiles, a US-made JDAM guided bomb, as well as 18 US-made HIMARS and Czech-made Vampire multiple launch rocket systems were shot down.
In addition, 91 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed, including in the areas of the settlements of Tavolzhanka, Kupyansk, Mirnoye in the Kharkiv region, Bilohorivka, Svatove, Lysychansk in the Lugansk People's Republic, Verkhnetoretskoye, Pisky, Mayorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic, Pshenichnoye, Lyubymivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, Nova Kakhovka, Chonhar and Chaplynka in the Kherson region.
