Germany faces major transport disruption due to strike
The GDL (Gewerkschaft Deutscher Lokomotivführer) train drivers' union in Germany has declared strikes for three days at the nation's passenger services and four days at the cargo operations in an effort to attain higher wages and shorter work hours.
This is expected to broaden a severe transport disruption across the country.
German rail passengers have faced massive train delays and cancelations in recent months as the GDL has called on its members to halt passenger and freight trains on some days.
Train operator Deutsche Bahn AG said millions of passengers were affected during the latest strike in December and urged people to avoid or postpone travel if possible.
It also warned of “massive restrictions for industry and business” due to the impact on freight operations.
Deutsche Bahn slammed GDL in a statement on Sunday and said it will seek a provisional injunction in Frankfurt's labor court to stop strikes planned for this week.

The same goes for turning war footage into a music video. I'm sure it appeals to todays generation of gamers, but I can hear my Grandparents turning in their graves...

And yes, I know that patriotic / jingoistic music was played during the newsreels that people went to watch at cinemas during the last "Big One", but for me there's something uniquely annoying about the post-production of modern war footage, as if it's just a role-playing game on a pc and that people are not being blown to shreds and families not devastated. And I mean that for ALL sides in any war.
