The fundamental weakness of this article is it assumes Putin would try to occupy all of Ukraine. Beyond Donetsk and Luhansk, the lines may extend past Kiev, and/or Odessa, but literally no one believes they would be occupying Lviv.

Although they are going down in general, the relative results show, that their focus is in Lemberg. Interestingly the two oblasts Karpatho-Ukraine and Bukovina don't want them. Both oblasts were added by Stalin to Ukraine and were part of Slovakia and Romania before.

The region around Lemberg is mostly Catholic and not Orthodox.
