Wow! Glad you're okay. It is awful being stuck in a car in the hail.
That's two hours time lapse over my city then the sky went dark:

And that's a shot from the main weather observation in the mountains called Kredarica. White ground is not snow but hail that fell for about an hour:

Nice! (Well, maybe not so nice if you're underneath that lot, but very interesting.)

A nasty low pressure system looks set to arrive to the UK on Wednesday night, with current models suggesting >60mph gusts in Scotland. With trees in full leaf at this time of year, its impacts could be worse than a similar strength storm in autumn/winter.

A heat wave in Canada at least 30 dead
The central and eastern part of Canada was hit by a severe heat wave, resulting in a red alert, and 12 people died in Montreal because of the effects of heat, and 19 in Quebec.
The psychiatrist from the Public Health Office, David Kaiser , explained that most victims had lived alone and had no access to refrigeration. The number of urgent medical help calls increased, as much as 1,200 per day, which is 30 per cent more than on the busiest day.
The victims also reported in the Canadian province of Quebec , where 19 people died in the last week due to the effects of fever .

WEATHER: Ireland, Denmark, southern Norway and Sweden, northern Germany and parts of England are experiencing the worst drought in years. In many places it is now banned to water lawns and fields, campfires outside are not allowed. The drought could be catastrophic for farmers.
Bin lorry and even people are getting trapped in melting roads.

In my area, cannot remember last rains, everwhere is brown instead of green, deep ruts in the dry ground and predicted to last at least a month or more. I currently have 31C and set for warmer over the weekend. (yes I know many countries get much warmer but this is UK and almost noone even has air conditioning) Some people are just dumb though - leaving all the windows open when it is 30+)

Drought gets mentioned after just a month of no rain these days... To be fair, the weather has been very warm since May with far above average temps, many brown grassy areas and so on, but the country did see many thundery downpours throughout May.
