For the first time in the Brexit process there is openly ill feeling/hostility between UK and EU. UK government is trying to create an option to renege on an international treaty it signed with the EU only a few months ago. It will try and use this threat as leverage to make EU give the UK a better post-Brexit trade deal. US is really pushing its luck. I read that they are taking their "patrols" a step further by aiming B52's directly at Russia's Southern border area. Sooner or later one will be shot down.
I heard on RU TV the B52s are an old concept from before the Vietnam war, with very little maneuverability, moving up to 25 km aka seconds from the RU border. U.S. using the flying coffins as guided nuclear bombs ... least turmoil in the air and they fall like the rocks they are, with the nuclear charges on board on the RU territory.
