correct (it stops) on Fri at the close of NewYork markets and opens with Tokyo market (their 'Monday' morning).
it's tricky though... it can 'gap up' or gap down' over the weekend as major accounts are 'reconciled'...
meaning... NewYork friday 'close' can be different than Tokyo's 'open'.
The markets r 24H because the 3 major markets/time zones hand off to each other:
Tokyo to London to NewYork to Tokyo to London to NewYork etc/etc.
