I don't support either Turkey or YPG but if Turkey captured East Syria they would never give it back to Syria and would flood the area with anti Assad syrian refuges. On the other hand it would be a lot easier for Syria, Iran and Hezbollah to retake it from Turkey than America and because Turkey has a border with Syria drones, cruise missile and rocket attacks can easily be launched against Turkey unlike America.
