The numbers over here are skyrocketing. I personally know 8 people now who have contracted this virus, and one who has actually passed from complications from it - the person wasn't in the best of health already. Two of the 8 are asymptomatic, and were only tested because they were exposed to people who tested positive. Of the other 5, two were very ill (one was the person who passed away), the other 3 had mild symptoms and would never have guessed they had covid-19 had they not been tested because of work and exposing others.

It's interesting to watch the hysteria vs. the facts.

Anyway, the CDC is now talking about another Swine Flu that is spreading from China and is likely going to be *another* pandemic.

Aye, that is obvious if you look at the data - for instance here is a link to the VA Dept of Health Covid Site . I have kept an eye on the numbers and looked at the reports from the beginning - but the one they have right on the landing page shows the numbers declining, even after the phased reopening at the end of May, when everyone expected numbers to skyrocket.

Of course, states like Texas are in terrible shape right now - they are out of hospital space and are having issues keeping up with treating people in the large cities. But the death rate has still decreased there, despite their facility issues.

It's been interesting to sit back and watch all of this, once I pulled myself out of the initial concern and final preparations I needed to do for myself and my folks.

Anyway, I don't think **they** accomplished what they wanted and that is why the CDC already brought up a new and improved pandemic situation to be aware of spreading in the coming weeks.

We have here interesting situation in norther Moravia. Thera are large mines and many miners were infected with this COVID. Actually they are saying that almost everyone tested is positive. However, waste majority of them has no symptoms at all. Some of other felt tired. Only small part felt common flu symptoms. Tehere was no one hospitalized afaik. So the most of positively tested was found as infected just because they started testing everyone over there. And, off course, it affected daily numbers off positively tested people. So that we had over 300 new cases per 24 hours a few days ago and today it's 140, for example.

Basicly it says anyone can be "positive" without knowing it as most of the cases is asymptomatic or symptoms are so mild you won't even note them. Also it says reported numbers can be easily misinterpreted, or even manipulated if we speak about death toll for example. It's interesting US has so many hospitalized patients though. Different strain? Different methodology of decision making over who gonna be hospitalized? 2nd option I see like more likely as I'm 100% sure US govt. intends to use this pandemy to make their case against China.
