The Aggressor and His Reflection
Year is 1983. Issue № 14 of the «Krokodil» published this caricature by V.Mochalov, depicting the then PM of Israel Begin, wading through the sea of blood, gun a'smoking. And the reflection in the blood is that of «Uncle Sam» — the USA.
Today, with Syria, Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon drowned in the Israel-inflicted bloodbath, the ultimate perpetrator is still the same, as in 1983!
The text above the caricature reads:
Israel's attack on Lebanon became possible as a result of the strategic alliance between Israel and the USA.
«Please, don't blame the victim. Point the finger instead at the perpetrators»
"Assad should have carried out democratic reforms and made everything wonderful" etc etc. Sure. And if I had a magic wand, I'd deliver peace on Earth this Christmas time.
Life under siege isn't so simple. A horrific proxy war; vicious sanctions; continuous airstrikes; US occupation; economic warfare of every variety; all forms of destabilisation and subversion. In such a context, anything beyond survival may simply be beyond reach.
Please don't blame the victim. Point the finger instead at the perpetrators: the US, Israel, Britain, the EU, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar. They've ground Syria down and they've won this battle.
Nevertheless, the global struggle against imperialism continues, and relies on our resilience and unity."

UK to fast-track HTS 'terrorist' designation decision
British lawmaker Pat McFadden has said Westminster could make a "very swift decision" whether to no longer consider the former Al Qaeda affiliate group as terrorists after they overthrew the Syrian government.
"The leader of that group has distanced himself away from some of the things that have been said in the past," he told the BBC on Monday.
"He is saying some of the right things about the protection of minorities, about protecting people's rights."
Must be telling the truth then.

Conversion on the road to Damascus?
In the west, for the last couple of weeks there has been a coordinated campaign across the entire spectrum of mainstream media to rebrand HTS and its leader. They are now "diversity friendly"!
Woke jihadists!
But the headline of this post is not about them. We know they have not had a conversion. They were, are, and will be an amalgam of Al Qaeda, ISIS and other extremist groups, no matter what BBC says.
No. The question about conversions is for the people in the west. How many times can they fall for this?
The Mujahideen, freedom fighters in Afghanistan that Reagan was so proud of.
Obama's "moderate rebels" in Syria a decade ago.
The Socialist National Party of Ukraine (isn't that clever, socialist nationals, definitely NOT national socialists) which became Svoboda (Freedom!) and occupied all of the force ministries post Maidan.
And the conversion of Azov, honourable fighters, not neo-Nazis.
Now HTS as diversity friendly jihadists.
And while we are at it, "mostly peaceful" BLM protests, or defending democracy by cancelling elections in Romania or the other "Henry Ford elections" in the last few weeks...
What will it take for people in the west to wake up?
The west's marketing departments work fast, that poster offering a $10 million reward is from May, 2024!

@DD_Geopolitics
Assad rejected a deal with the U.S. before his overthrow, The Washington Post reported.
Before the Western-backed "opposition" advance in Syria, the Americans offered him to stop allowing Iran to use his territory for Hezbollah. In return, the U.S. promised a gradual lifting of sanctions against Syria.
More fatal for Assad was his refusal to improve relations with Erdogan, who proposed normalizing ties with Damascus in exchange for restraining Kurdish groups and allowing the return of at least some Syrian refugees to the republic.

The "freedom fighters" on the streets are the terrorists who slit throats, hung foetus in trees and sawed off the heads of their captives, massacred entire ethnic communities and stood on their remains drunk on bloodlust. They are the dregs of society whose first instinct is to damage and destroy. Gangs will fight gangs. Law and order is gone. Children are stealing guns and firing them. Sectarian hatred is seeping back. People are terrified. This is the "revolution". The West doesn't breed stability. It breeds hate, chaos and war. Instead they are used in a really sick way so that people are maintaining their own suffering from wars, hunger and illness. But it can not be changed "top-down", only in some kind of "grassroots revolution" or better "evolution" where more and more people work together to get rid of TPTB (whoever that is).
No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.
That is what I mean with "I'm on the side of the people".

Re: Main news thread - conflicts, terrorism, crisis from around the globe
-Assad was tired of his job. He didn't want to do this from the beginning. He neglected his duties. Maybe he was already discussing his retirement with the Russians.
-The Zionists needed a relief operation to cut the supply lines of Hezbollah. They activated their proxies in Idlib, all al-Qaida, ISIS etc. fighters. This was planned as a small scale operation, just cutting the roads to Baalbek and Beqaa in Lebanon.
-This did not go unnoticed by the Turks and the Iranians.
-Erdogan activated his proxies in Ifrin and organized a big scale operation with operation center in Turkey.
-The Iranians warned Assad, that the Turks were assembling forces.
-Assad went to Moscow and talked to the Russians. The Russians decided to let it happen for varies reasons.
-With the ceasefire in Lebanon, the Zionists gave order to their head-choppers in Idlib to start the operation.
-When the Turks noticed this, they gave order to their proxies in Ifrin to start their operation.
-On their way to Aleppo the Turkish rebels fought against the Kurds.
-On their way to Hama and Homs the Zionist head-choppers announced to make peace with Israel.
-In Aleppo (that was not included in the Zionist plan) both groups met. They made an agreement. This would be extremely interesting to have.
-In the meantime the Russian airforce stopped the Zionist head-choppers at the gates of Hama and Homs, till the Turkish rebels came up.
-Now the Zionists and the US saw, that they had made a big mistake.
-US blocked the Euphrates crossings for the Turkish rebels and the Zionists started to create a buffer zone.
-The Russians and the Iranians try to cooperate with the Turkish rebels in Damascus now. The Turkish rebels announced, that Assad and the Iranians are gone and the Israeli attacks are not justified.
-Now we need to watch closely the cooperation between the Zionist head-choppers and the Turkish rebels. This especially important in case NATO is breaking down after Trump resumes his office. If the Turkish rebels are fighting against the Zionists and the Kurds, we will have a full scale war and Russia and Iran can sit on the sidelines and laugh about the stupidity of their opponents.
Just my thoughts.

*NOTE:
The Sayanim are the Arabs who work for the Zionists, who serve their expansionist agenda, exactly as the CIA mercenaries renamed HTS who are Al Qaeda with makeup do.
It can also be considered that the Arab monarchies and bourgeoisies that have normalized relations with the Zionist colonial entity Israel, that trade with it and that serve its designs, are Sayanim. These Arab monarchies and bourgeoisies not only strengthen Israel economically but have participated in arming and financing, together with the American CIA, the hordes of terrorists such as Al Qaeda/Al Nusra, fanatical mercenary armies destined to attack other Arab countries and the region.
In addition, the media owned by countries such as Qatar have widely favored the Zionist agenda by sowing a thousand lies and manipulations against the Axis of Anti-Zionist Resistance, baiting with special viciousness against Hezbollah, Iran and anti-Zionist Syria - today destroyed. The Qatari media is also largely responsible for the fascist sectarian intoxication aimed at filling millions of its viewers with hatred against the Shia. This hatred has been fomented since colonial times by the British, and the Zionists and their Gulf Arab Sayanim continue to use this perverse strategy to manipulate the population.

🟥 The end of pluralism in the Middle East - by Craig Murray / Part One, excerpts/
A truly radical change is taking place in the Middle East, which is a pact with the devil: Turkey and the Gulf States accept the annihilation of the Palestinian nation and the creation of a Greater Israel in exchange for the annihilation of the Shiite minorities of Syria and Lebanon and the imposition of Salafism throughout the Eastern Arab world (...)
the UK media, which has promoted the official narrative that not only the same organizations, but the same people responsible for mass torture and executions of non-Sunnis, including Western journalists, are now 'affectionate liberators'.
Al-Jolani(...) he is now being touted in the Western media as a 'moderate leader'. He was the deputy leader of ISIS (...) the CIA itself finances it, equips it and gives it air support.
The supporters of the Syrian rebels still try to deny that they have the support of Israel and the United States, despite the fact that almost a decade ago there was an open testimony in the US Congress that, up to that point, more than 500 million dollars had been spent on assistance to the Syrian rebel forces, and the Israelis have been openly providing medical and other services to the jihadists and effective air support.
(...)in the United Kingdom, according to article 12 of the Anti-Terrorism Law it is illegal to express an opinion that supports or may lead someone to support a proscribed organization.
The abuse of this provision by the British police to persecute Palestinian supporters for allegedly encouraging support for banned organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah is notorious (...)
However, Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) is also an outlawed group in the UK. But both the mainstream British media and the British Muslim media have been openly promoting and praising HTS - much more openly than I have ever seen anyone in the UK supporting Hamas and Hezbollah - (...)
When all the corporate and state media in the West spread a unified narrative that Syrians are delighted to be freed by HTS from the tyranny of the Assad regime - and say nothing at all about the accompanying torture and execution of Shiites, it should be obvious to everyone where this is coming from.
However, a very substantial number of Muslims in the UK support HTS and the Syrian rebels, due to the funding that British mosques receive from Saudi and Emirati Salafi sources. To this is added the influence exerted by the security services of the United Kingdom also through mosques, both through sponsorship programs and "think tanks" that benefit approved religious leaders, and through the execrable and coercive Prevent program.
The British Muslim media who have shown themselves to be pro-Palestinian (...)enthusiastically support Israel's Syrian allies in their struggle to destroy the resistance to the Palestinian genocide.
Al Jazeera alternates between articles detailing the terrible massacre in Palestine and articles extolling the Syrian rebels who are bringing the allied government of Israel to Syria.
Among the mechanisms they employ to reconcile this absurdity is the refusal to recognize the vital role of Syria in allowing the supply of weapons from Iran to Hezbollah, a supply that the jihadists have now cut off, to the absolute delight of Israel, and in conjunction with both Israeli and American airstrikes.
Ultimately, for many Sunni Muslims, both in the Middle East and in the West, the appeal of sectarian hatred towards Shiites and the imposition of Salafism seems to be stronger than that of preventing the final destruction of the Palestinian nation.

🟥 Part Two, excerpts from the text ‘The End of Pluralism in the Middle East’ - by C. Murray/ recommended text.
(...)Western colonial powers have consciously and explicitly used the Sunni-Shiite divide for centuries to divide and rule. In the 1830s, Alexander Burnes was writing reports on how to use the division in Sindh between Shia rulers and Sunni populations to aid British colonial expansion.
On 12 May 1838, in his letter from Simla setting out his decision to launch the first British invasion of Afghanistan, the British governor-General Lord Auckland included plans to exploit the Shia/Sunni divide in both Sindh and Afghanistan to aid the British military attack.
The colonial powers have been doing it for centuries, the Muslim communities keep falling for it, and the British and Americans are doing it right now to continue their reshaping of the Middle East.
Simply put, many Sunni Muslims have been brainwashed into hating Shia Muslims more than they hate those currently committing genocide against an overwhelmingly Sunni population in Gaza.
I refer to the UK because I saw it first-hand during the election campaign in Blackburn, but the same is true throughout the Muslim world. No Sunni Muslim-led state has lifted a single finger to prevent the genocide of the Palestinians.
Its leaders are using anti-Shiite sectarianism to maintain popular support for a de facto alliance with Israel against the only groups – Iran, the Houthis and Hezbollah - that actually tried to give the Palestinians practical support in the resistance, and against the Syrian government that facilitated the supply.
The tacit but very real agreement is as follows: the Sunni powers will accept the annihilation of the entire Palestinian nation and the formation of Greater Israel, in exchange for the annihilation of the Shiite communities in Syria and Lebanon by Israel and NATO-backed forces (including Turkey).

The Chinese quickly got busy and released such night lights - you can order a nuclear mushroom cloud over enemy Washington, London, New York, Tokyo, etc.
By the way, they don't make them over Moscow - at least we didn't find any.

The United States is the most dangerous and lawless country in the world, where the deep state would seemingly rather set the whole world on fire than relinquish its grip on power and control. People must stand up against this, or we risk living in a reality akin to 1984.

Re: Main news thread - conflicts, terrorism, crisis from around the globe
Some time out of the commentosphere is definitely in order this week.
Personally, I'm in no hurry to blame President Assad for what has happened to Syria. No doubt more details will become clear over time and many factors were at play in the fall of his government and the end of the Syrian Arab Republic as we knew it. A bastion of anti-zionist secular pluralism standing up for the dignity and sovereignty of the whole Arab world.
These things I do know: President Assad stood steadfastly at the head of the country for 13 years while it endured the most horrific attacks on every front. A massively armed and funded wahabi terrorist invasion. Brutal economic warfare. Outright theft of its most important resources. Relentless bombing by western and zionist airforces. Infiltration of western and zionist spies. Propaganda lies and total personal demonisation.
The Syrian people have had their lives and country utterly destroyed. They have in effect endured a genocide. Huge numbers of young men have left to find work abroad and support their families through remittances since the economy has been left in ruins and crushing sanctions prevent it being rebuilt.
Who was helping the country overcome all these problems? Who was helping to put an end to the situation in which a colonel in the Syrian Arab Army was on a salary of $40 a month while brainwashed lumpen headchoppers in the occupied parts of his country were getting up to $2,000 a month? Where ordinary Syrians were denied access to basic foods, medicines, building materials, productive jobs and so many other necessities of life?
Workers in the west bear a huge responsibility. We allow our movements to be co-opted by the ruling class and its stooges. We allow our allies abroad to be remorselessly attacked and content ourselves with commenting from the sidelines about whose analysis is best and which member of the Axis of Resistance is most culpable.
The working class in the west has the power to prevent and stop these crimes by our ruling classes. We have to educate and organise ourselves to use it, and stop treating world events as if they some kind of spectator sport and nothing to do with us.

Local sources told Al-Mayadeen that IOF tanks are 3km from Qatna and just 20km away from Damascus, having occupied 9 villages in the southern Damascus countryside.
These new incursions come after the IOF announced plans to occupy the entirety of the Golan buffer zone, the occupation of the Syrian side of Jabal Al-Sheikh (Mount Hermon), and nearly 400 air strikes in the last 48 hours destroying Syrian military capabilities following the overthrow of the Assad government.
