yes, their logistics will get cut. but they will be in urban areas. and it would be very hard to get them out. Fighting for Aleppo lasted for years. it would be much easier to destroy a whole city with them inside, than to go from house to house. if Assad really fucked up and lost Aleppo again, he is not for leadership role. he is a nice and pleasant person but running a country is not for him. it will take months (years) to get them out of aleppo and M5 highway. like it did last time. and numerous casualties.
it is much easier to destroy everything and start from scratch. and obviously, this ceasefire deal with turkey controlling parts of syria is not working.

Battle of Aleppo (2012–2016)
