Trump’s first move after losing the election is to fire his Defence Secretary and top officials at the Pentagon + replacing them with loyalists.

This is starting to display the hallmarks of an old-fashioned power grab.

Imagine.

Yes of-course the situation in Armenia is complex; I agree the president there tried to have it both ways, he tried to be clever and it failed. There is no question about that. If the issue was solely about Baku vs Yerevan over disputed territory the matter would be different. The issue is that a coalition of anti Russian state actors conspiring to undermine Russia and build their power base in the caucuses, used the disputed territories as PRETEXT, to exploit tensions and gain advantage. They were successful.

They ultimately calculated that Putin would not stop them because they have studied his reactions from their previous provocations and determined to THEIR reasoning, that focused aggression against Russian interests brings few MATERIAL consequences.

Now along a similar line; this conflict has witnessed a dramatic evolutionary change in warfare much as the emergence of the tank in the First World War, in that now Armed unmanned aerial vehicles can in record time destroy powerful ground formation of troops and weapons. I have stated in previous posts that Armenia had a capable military, and it did. What Armenia did not consider was that Baku would be prompted to attack using 1st rate SUPPLIED BY OTHERS, armed drone technologies which without direct Russian assistance would overwhelm them, which is what happened.

These anti Russian actors had a vested interest in using and observing this conflict as a laboratory in preparation for much bigger plans in the times to come. Conventional warfare has changed markedly this has been profoundly proven here. A defensive strategy moving ahead must be a dynamic and fluid as possible, any notion now of retreating Behind borders thought unassailable is as arcane now as when the French thought it in 1939 with the Maginot Line.

But were they really? Pashinyan's career is done. He was leader of 2018's color revolution. Dashnaktsutyun party (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) calls for his resignation. The party is described as nationalistic and pro-Russian. Exactly what foreign atni-Russian state actors don't need. Just two months ago Russia and Dashnaktsutyun party discussed Armenian-Russian cooperation...

"Dashnaktsutyun Office reports that during the meeting the participants exchanged ideas over the Armenian-Russian relations, domestic political developments in Armenia, processes elaborating over Armenia and Artsakh..."

I concur. This is why I mentioned Donbass in my first reply yesterday. Maybe you missed it. For Russia itself such threat is negligible, Russian EWS are very capable and can protect military installations and sites of interest, as was proved in Syria. Regions as Donbass can be endangered. On other hand Ossetia doesn't need to be concerned very much because Russian army is presented there and only idiot would try to repeat Saakashvili's mistake.

What I find quite interesting is how fast was Armenian defeat. Much worse armed, trained and equipped Houthis fight effectively against Saudi coalition backed by US for 5 years.

Zod, yes I did read your analysis on the situation regarding Donbas, and I agree completely with it. I’m texting on my mobile so I can’t use some of the forum features like highlighting text and such. Hard to text at length on these damn things lol.

The drone tech applications now constantly evolving will require much in the realm of asymmetrical defenses, and no longer will masses armor formations be a guarantee for offensive or defensive success. Yes the situation with regards to the Yemenis is perplexing, however the Saudi military is abysmal. Saudis require the Americans to operate all high tech platforms. Speaking of such, I think this senile Biden will only be front man for their deep state, and we will see much belligerent attitudes coming from them against Russia. Did you read comment from that wooden man who is chair person of NATO, indicating Biden will strongly confront ‘assertive’ Russia? What is that guys name, Stotzfus, Stoneface, something like that. He comes from some tiny fish eating dairy cow country the size of a village, Danes Market or something like that.

Dunno if already posted, about Mr. Schwab, the German Nazi behind Davos.

https://off-guardian.org/2020/10/12/klaus-schwab-his-great-fascist-reset

" ...  Schwab seems to have dedicated his life to reinventing that nightmare and to trying to turn it into a reality not just for Germany but for the whole world.

Worse still, as his own words confirm time and time again, his technocratic fascist vision is also a twisted transhumanist one, which will merge humans with machines in “curious mixes of digital-and-analog life”, which will infect our bodies with “Smart Dust” and in which the police will apparently be able to read our brains.

And, as we will see, he and his accomplices are using the Covid-19 crisis to bypass democratic accountability, to override opposition, to accelerate their agenda and to impose it on the rest of humankind against our will in what he terms a “Great Reset“.

Schwab is not, of course, a Nazi in the classic sense, being neither a nationalist nor an anti-semite, as testified by the $1 million Dan David Prize he was awarded by Israel in 2004.

But 21st century fascism has found different political forms through which to continue its core project of reshaping humanity to suit capitalism through blatantly authoritarian means.

This new fascism is today being advanced in the guise of global governance, biosecurity, the “New Normal”, the “New Deal for Nature” and the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”.

Schwab, the octogenarian founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, sits at the centre of this matrix like a spider on a giant web.

But it can not be changed "top-down", only in some kind of "grassroots revolution" or better "evolution" where more and more people work together to get rid of TPTB (whoever that is).

No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.

Well, from Biden I do expect nothing less than continuation of terrible US foreign policy. If the country won't crumble under the weight of national debt ($27 trillion already) and looming civil war, as Trump won't leave the White House voluntarily...
