An idea from Hessen that makes mass testing faster and more efficient:

A mix of 5 samples is tested together, only if this test is positive, the samples are retested individually. Apparently it already works successfully here. 

Maybe this idea should be spread.

What I not understand:

In the USA there is always talk that it is much better to organize private help. Here in Germany, tens of thousands of people are now involved in providing the poor and homeless with the most basic necessities, or people in home quarantine. 

Does that not work in the USA? And why does every single person there have to drive their car miles to the distribution point? What about people without a car who can't afford one should starve? It could hardly be more absurd to organize.

Another thing, Deutsche Bank donated respirators to Frankfurt, which they had stored from the last SARS crisis. So they are ultimately serving themselves. The sooner all measures take effect, the sooner there is a chance that the economy can start up again.
