Instead they are used in a really sick way so that people are maintaining their own suffering from wars, hunger and illness. But it can not be changed "top-down", only in some kind of "grassroots revolution" or better "evolution" where more and more people work together to get rid of TPTB (whoever that is).
No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.
That is what I mean with "I'm on the side of the people".

Yep, sorry - I've been working today and am just catching up on news.
People in the state are getting concerned about liberal governing leadership wanting to take away our gun rights. There is massive legislation being voted upon and probably passed which will affect gun laws in the state. There's been a big movement here in Virginia declaring cities "Sanctuary Cities" for the 2nd Amendment, many of the cities are declaring themselves so. So the gun rights folks are marching at the capitol of Virginia in Richmond on Monday. This will bring out the liberal counter protestors, but even more alarming is the organizing on social media of the same ass hats that stirred up so much trouble in Charlottesville, who do no even live here. So the Governor is covering his bases and declaring a State of Emergency already to get more personnel in to hopefully help squash anything like what happened in Charlottesville. Richmond is only 50ish miles away from Charlottesville, so it's not something anyone wants to relive anytime soon.
