That was my concern.

Don't think they can do it as the pro Iran conquest alliance has 48 seats 2nd only to Al Sadr block which has 54 so they basically have Veto power but won't stop the US from trying though.

According to the Iraqi constitution the PM has to be Shia. When you know Shia Iraqi society and Shia ideology you will understand that a Shia PM who will allow Israeli strikes in Iraq will never happen.

The Shia youth who will take down the current PM are anti-American and anti-Zionist. So such a PM would never last in Iraq even for 1 day.

Also the Shia Islamic Dawa Party that was in power for all those years after Saddam, was in power with the blessings of both America and Iran.

Dawa Party: An American-Iranian failure https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20160322-dawa-party-an-american-iranian-failure/

Iraqis were protesting against the Dawa party, then elections came and Dawa Party lost 67 seats and Abdul Mahdi became the first non-Dawa Party PM of Iraq, Iraqis gave him a chance, but Abdul Mahdi is the same as the Dawa Party PMs Maliki and Abadi. Iraqis will want next PM to be Shia technocrat who has nothing to do with the political parties. If he is the same, then he will go down too.

Talos wrote:The Iraqi government should crackdown hard on these protests as they just had elections in 2018 it's not as though the Iraqi government is some dictatorship that has been in charge for decades. The West can't say anything as they back Sisi and Saudi Arabia who don't even have elections these Iraq protests are just losers who are angry that the party they voted for lost in 2018 get over it and vote in higher numbers in next election.

Only losers are the ones ordering and shooting at civilians with live ammunition.

Abdul Mahdi has been brave in standing up to America he continued to trade with Iran, Opened the border with Syria, Blamed Israel in public for drone strikes, Got rid of army officers with CIA links and was just about to sign a deal buying a S300 and S400 with Russia all of those moves will be reversed if he steps down.

Somebody competent and skilled enough to tackle Iraq's problems. Somebody who is not part of the rotten political parties and has never stole from the Iraqi people. Somebody who doesn't become a PM under the disguise of religion and then let corruption flourish.

One name that was mentioned for PM before Abdul Mahdi was Jaafar al-Sadr

"He resigned from parliament in February 2011, to protest at the deterioration in services and the system of "patronage and cronyism". He refused to join the Islamic Dawa Party founded by his father because he disagreed with the Islamist ideology. He has said that years of studying Islam had convinced him that religion and politics don't mix and that he disagreed with his brother-in-law Muqtada al-Sadr on the use of violence to achieve political goals. Whilst negotiations were on-going on the formation of a new government, the Sadrists conducted a "referendum" among Sadrist supporters on who should become the Prime Minister; Jaafar came second, receiving support from 23% of the 1.2 million people who voted." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaafar_al-Sadr

How do you know that they will be reversed?

Anyone else who was a PM would have done those things, for example if the PM didn't remove the officers who it was found out that were spies, he would have faced backlash and be removed himself.

He didn't do anything for Iraqis who don't have what to eat and Iraqis in Basra who don't have running tap water.

Of all fuckeries I learned about the globalist mafia I know some things for sure: they do not respect any laws, domestic or intrnational. They will fight for their cause till the last useful idiot. And they love to keep their landgrabs as poor as it is possible.

For good of Iraqis I can only hope you're right, E. But my experience tells me that average, disapointed citizen was, yet again, used as a tool to reverse events unfavor for the globalists.

To summ my concerns expressed yesterday already I will quote Brasco:

Iraq opens border crossing with Syria and within 48 hours mass protests broke out in Iraq. 🤔

The economic situation in Iraq is in dire straits (like in the entire MENA region. It's for example F U in Morocco too), but it went from 0 to 100 in nanoseconds.

I don't discard what you say...
but one difference we may have:
I think you 'see'/perceive these protests as being pure/noble/explainable/authentic...
in a word: justified.
and I know why... you are emotionally attached to the plight of the 'people'.
I get it.

I see the 'timing' as being suspect.
I know what my government is capable and guilty of. It's what they 'do'.
I think they are 'doing' it again.

just finished speaking live right now, 2am Baghdad time:

Just the usual. Expressing regret over the violence. Future pledges to the poor. The fight vs corruption is continuing etc.

Importantly, detained protestors who didn’t commit crimes to be freed.

and I know why... you are emotionally attached to the plight of the 'people'.
I get it.

I see the 'timing' as being suspect.
I know what my government is capable and guilty of. It's what they 'do'.
I think they are 'doing' it again.

Justifiable, peaceful protest, hijacked and turned into violent riot by a group of CIA operatives? Shocking, really not...

I understand what you mean. I think the spark of the protests was the removal of Lt. Gen. Abdel-Wahab al-Saadi by Abdulmahdi, which was near the same time as the opening of the border crossing. We shall wait and see what will happen.

As I know our MSM get their instructions from CFR, and I hear that they are positive about a protest, I'm sure there's something fishy. Always the same, pro color revolution, Maidan, Moscow, Honkong, Venezuela ... I can not remember one single exception for the last 30 years.

But this day was the first it was reported, I will watch what they report the next days.

Suspect

Iran should cut ties with Iraq if they are burning their flag and blaming Iran its a joke. Iraq still owes Iran 90 billion that the UN ordered iraq to pay Iran for the damages in the Iran-Iraq war but when Saddam left Iran said they don't have to pay it not to mention Iraq gets huge amounts of it's electricity from Iran and massive amounts of money from visiting Iranian pilgrims to karbala and lastly Iranian backed PMF played a huge role in getting the oilfields back from the US backed kurds in kirkuk could you imagine how much worse things would be if iraq never had the kirkuk oil money? Iran should dismantle the PMF and let the Iraqi army fight ISIS, Peshmerga,Turkish army , Ba'ath Party loyalists themselves if that's what they want.

But we all know what the whole Iraq-Iran war was about. Yet another US fabricated shit because Langley was butthurted over the Pahlavi coup failure.

If Iraqis really want their country rebuilded then they need to protest not against the puppet regime. They need to go straight in the front of the US, UK, French and all other NATO consulates. They need to cut off NATO bases and airports and demand immediate withdrawal from their country. And only then they can decide who will rule their country.

UK Home Secretary Priti Patel has sent an open letter to Facebook calling on the firm to rethink its plans to encrypt all messages on its platforms.

The policy threatens "lives and the safety of our children", she said.

She feels it could hamper international efforts to grant law enforcers faster access to private messages on social media, as agreed between the UK and US.

Facebook said: "We believe people have the right to have a private conversation online."

The head of Facebook-owned WhatsApp Will Cathcart posted on Hacker News: "End-to-end encryption protects that right for over a billion people every day."
